Gallbladder symptoms

bubbles_slh: blahh
hello, just updating and letting you know that i am sick, ill, not well, however you want to call it.the doctors think there is something wrong with my gallbladder, stupid little organ, and that it makes my abdomen, back and shoulder blades hurt every time i eat. then i get nauseous and then i get light headed and almost pass out. i havent been able to keep food or water down for like 5 days. i went to the hospital yesterday. they put my on iv's for dehydration, i got an ultrasound done and determined that i do not have gallstones, so that eliminates that gallbladder problem.

These symptoms sure sound like gallstones. Maybe this person has sludge rather than stones.

"I still have those damn hospital bills"

Subject to Change: What's up with this?: "I had been having gallbladder attacks that felt worse than labor pains for an entire YEAR before I'd do anything about it because I knew I was looking at thousands of dollars worth of debt to have it taken care of. And you know what the doctor at the ER tried to do? He tried to tell me it was indigestion, give me an antacid and send me home. He said I was too young and too thin to have gallstones. I told him I knew it was my gallbladder and insisted on having an ultrasound to confirm it. Sure enough, they were huge stones and my gallbladder was so inflamed they wouldn't even let me leave the hospital for fear that I would eat something and make it worse. I had to be hooked up to an IV for days with no food so the inflammation would go down before they would operate. I still have those damn hospital bills. "

Sometimes there is no option other than surgery, but often it is an unnecessary risk and a financial burden.

The circadian rhythm of illness

Leaping Real Eyes: The circadian rhythm of illness: "In TCM, the large intestine is responsible for digestion and excretion. However, it also has a role in the immune system of the upper respiratory tracts as the counterpart organ of the lungs (all of the internal organs are paired--the lungs with the large intestine, the stomach with the spleen, the heart with the small intestine, the bladder with the kidneys, the liver with the gallbladder, and the pericardium with an organ-like entity called the 'triple warmer'). "

The circadian rhythm of illness has been emphasized for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), using this knowledge to schedule therapies such as acupuncture during appropriate hours of the day. This paper reviews the time periods (two hour segments) that apply to each organ system according to TCM (lungs, large intestine, stomach, heart, kidneys and liver), and elaborates on how recent medical research has found similar relevant biorhythms in these very same organ systems.

MINDING THE HEAT

MINDING THE HEAT: "Gallbladder and pancreas diseases.
Spicy foods, alcohol, oily foods and humidity can combine to create gallbladder stones and pancreas inflammation, especially in the summer.
To prevent these problems, people need to avoid the above-mentioned habits and have a balanced diet."
